How can a person who loves God be in so much fear?

Because domestic abuse can happen to anyone,

even Christians - whether adults, children, teens or elderly.

Abuse in any form is NEVER God's design for relatationships!

That is why we believe that all abuse

- child abuse, dating abuse, spousal abuse and elder abuse -

                                       must STOP!

When the Light of Christ is brought into the darkness, the darkness cannot prevail. So let His light shine in the dark places.

Have pity on me, 0 God, for I am in distress with sorrow my eye is consumed;

my soul also, and my body. I am like a dish that is broken...

But my trust is in you, 0 God; I say, 'YOU are my God'".

Psalm 31:10,14

Did You Know...

1 in 3 women and

1 in 10 males will experience intimate relationship violence in their adult lifetime.

1 in 3 teens and young adults will experience abuse in a dating relationship.

28% of marriages contain physical violence.

50% of marriages experience some form of abuse.

   with regards to child abuse....

1 in 3 females and 1 in 5 males will experience abuse in their lifetime.

                  with regards to elder abuse....

over 2.1 million American elderly suffer abuse and neglect each year.

Abuse is an issue that faces us all....

No one needs to suffer in silence.

You are not alone.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,

a stronghold in times of trouble.

Psalm 9:9

Relationship Abuse is NOT...

an issue of anger or loss of control,

it is about establishing control! One person trying to control the life of another person, and the person being victimized is often told it is for their own good, but abuse is never good. It may consist of repeated, severe beatings, but often it consists of more subtle forms of abuse, including verbal abuse, threats and controlling behaviors.

It is not "marital conflict," "mutual abuse," "a lovers' quarrel," "child discipline" or "a private family matter."

It is a CRIME

and it is OUR concern!

"Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless, plead for the widow." Isaiah 1:17

Speak up, speak out and save a life!
